Web-> Statistics -- Layouts

In the Statistics page, Hole score breakdown, the dropdown for the layouts truncates the layout name. You cannot tell which layout you are selecting. It should also add a header above the layout after you select one to display the layout selected.

When you select a layout, it does not reflect the layout configuration. E.g. A hole in this layout is configured as par 4 yet the statistics show it as a par 3.

Further, not all layouts are not available in the dropdown. I think it is due to how old the layout is ho how many plays. A newly added layout (less than a week) does not show in the dropdown.

Use case example. Newly added league layout (on Monday). played 30 times. I want to see the target-by-target stats to see if the par should be adjusted or just get an idea of the difficulty.

Ideally, all stats on the stats page are viewable by layout.

Thanks,
Joe

Thank you very much for sharing this input and the screenshot to illustrate what you’re experiencing, Joe! I’d recommend removing the hole count from the layout names, as it’s already displayed in a few other places and may be redundant information. Shortening the layout name (or moving the week number to the beginning of the layout for your March Mad Disc layouts for example) is the easiest way to distinguish similarly-named layouts for now. The pars on this hole stats breakdown do not reflect overridden pars at the layout level, just the “standard” par that is set in Map Manager for the hole.

With the example of Kelly Park Disc Golf here, are there any specific layouts that you’d expect to see in this dropdown, which aren’t appearing?

I appreciate the thoughts but renaming layouts because of limitations in the statistics page is not a desirable solution. I realize you said “for now” but I will just bit use layout stats until they change or, just never if not.

Layouts stats become a but irrelevant if we can’t see per hole stats based on the layout. This probably more true on temporary layouts as they can be much more affected by cource conditions.

On advantage of the PDGA app is that it has rating and stats for the actual league / tournament day on that layout where they are not influenced by other days. I’m pondering how uDisk can have league/tournament day stats and not rounds prior. I know, this is not how uDisc works. As our leagues are PDGA rated, it is different and we can’t use uDisc leagues.

Thanks for the comments.
Cheers!

Thank you for your honest feedback, Joe! League- or event-specific player and course stats have been requested a few times lately, and it’s on our radar for potentially something to develop in the future. We will keep you posted on any major updates!
