Amazfit has an SDK for development on their ecosystem. It is not a difficult one. I’ve personally owned them for almost 4 years now and don’t see myself ever swapping to the big brands considering the long battery life (2 weeks on mine) compared to the competition. The only rub is no UDisc…but hey, I’ve got insane snowboard tracking, Strava, all sorts of other 3rd party app integrations that work great. Amazfit makes excellent watches that don’t start in the $300+ range. For example, you can get a fully featured Active 2 for $100. This is more congruent with bringing in a wider base of watch based users as it can cast a broader net to the general disc golf population through a much more affordable device. A similarly spec’d Garmin will cost me $700+. The active subreddit has over 40k subs, the brand constantly releases updates/security patches/new models, they’re worldwide, and some of the youtube influencers have almost 1 million views on their Amazfit videos. So the exposure and marketing aspect is well worth the development imho due to the global reach and targeted American demographics. UDisc should seriously consider these aspects.

Yes please look into Amazfit. I currently use a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra. But am looking at returning it because I’m getting tired of charging it so much. I had Garmin for years. But having a hard time going back to Garmin because I cannot afford them. I need a large watch face. And I don’t want Instinct. So I’m starting to look at Amazfit. If I switch to Amazfit I’ll unfortunately have to cancel my udisc pro. On the other hand I wish pro wasn’t needed to take scores on your watch. Sure for everything else it includes. But if all you care for is the score taking then I don’t like it.
Yes please!!! Would be amazing. Just bought Pro thinking it works on all watches and am quite disappointed that it doesnt work with Zepp:(
