If you tried to edit a layout or submit a new one and it was not approved, it is likely due to one of the reasons listed below:
-
Your layout was created for a specific par. Pars in UDisc should reflect what the tee signs say at the course. If you wish to play a layout using a different par than what is listed, you can tap ‘Par’ on any hole to change it while playing. If the layout pars do not match the course signage, please reach out to us at help@udisc.com and we will be happy to assist.
-
The course layouts are being kept up-to-date by a course ambassador. Most courses in the directory have ambassadors responsible for keeping the layout maps up-to-date. In these instances, updates and new layouts submitted by other users are typically not approved. If your new layout is to be used for a league or an event, please be sure to make that clear in the description and we will get it approved for you.
-
Your layout has the same name/number of holes as an existing layout. If your layout in some way appears to be a duplicate of an existing layout, it will likely be rejected.
-
It would be better suited as a ‘Custom’ scorecard. If you wish to play a layout in a different order, or only a select number of holes, this shouldn’t be created as a public layout. You can play in this way by creating a custom scorecard and setting the number of holes and pars for yourself.
-
It is a ‘safari’ type layout. For safety reasons, these kinds of layouts are not typically approved.
-
Not enough information was provided. All layouts on the course should be easy to understand and play for any user. The reason for the layout and the details of it should be made clear in the description.
-
The layout map is being changed drastically or the hole distances are too long or too short. If you are updating the map of an existing layout, it is unlikely that it will change drastically. If major changes have been made to the course and it hasn’t been updated, please reach out to help@udisc.com. If creating a new map of a layout, hole distances should make sense. If the map shows holes with unreasonably short or long distances, this often indicates an error when mapping and won’t typically be approved.
-
The layout name or description contains profanity. If any kind of profanity or otherwise vulgar or inappropriate language are used, the submission will not be approved.
