If you receive an email letting you know that the course you submitted was not approved, it is likely due to one of the reasons listed below.
-
The new course appears to be a duplicate of an existing course. Is this new course in the same location as an existing course? Often times new courses are submitted by mistake when the course already exists in the UDisc course directory. If the course you submitted is a completely separate course at the same location, or if you need help accessing the existing course to make changes, reach out to us at help@udisc.com and we will be happy to assist.
-
Not enough information was provided. If you submit a new course but leave the âdescriptionâ or âheadlineâ blank, or provide very little information, we will likely be unable to approve it. Use these fields to let your fellow disc golfers know what to expect so they can plan a successful trip to the course Please provide as much information as possible to help us assess the new course. Be thorough and make sure to mention what others need to know in order to play this course. (Even if you are submitting a private course, these fields should be filled out with relevant information.)

It would be better suited as a âCustomâ scorecard. If you are trying to play disc golf in an area that is not a true disc golf course, such as an object course in a public space, submitting an official course to the directory is unnecessary. In these instances, you can keep score by creating a âCustomâ scorecard where you can select the number of holes and par for each hole.
-
The listing contains profanity. If a course submission contains any profanity or otherwise vulgar or inappropriate language, it will not be approved.
-
It is an unofficial object course in a public space. If you regularly play disc golf on an unofficial object course in a public space, and wish to add the course to the directory so that you can map the layout you play, that is perfectly fine. Keep in mind listings of this type should be submitted as âInvite Onlyâ courses. These kinds of unofficial courses cannot be displayed on the public facing list and map in the directory.
-
Not enough targets. Disc golf courses listed publicly in the UDisc course directory should have a minimum of 3 permanently installed targets. Currently courses with less than 3 permanent targets cannot be approved as courses available to âEveryone.â
-
The location is not a disc golf course. This would be true of indoor locations such as breweries or other locations that host putting leagues.
If you received an email letting you know that the course update you submitted was not approved, it is likely due to one of the reasons listed below.
-
The course listing is being kept up-to-date by a course ambassador. Most courses in the directory have ambassadors responsible for keeping the details and layout maps up-to-date. In these instances, updates submitted by other users are typically not approved. If you see issues or missing information on a course listing, please feel free to reach out to us at help@udisc.com.
-
The listing contains profanity. If a course submission contains any profanity or otherwise vulgar or inappropriate language, it will not be approved.
-
You are attempting to make a course available to the public, but it should be hidden on the directory. This would be applicable for unofficial object courses in public spaces, special events courses that donât currently have any dates of availability listed, or courses that are otherwise not a true and publicly available disc golf course.
If your submission doesnât seem to fit any of these categories, please reach out to us at help@udisc.com and we will be happy to help in any way that we can!
