Hey!
I love the app, but I recently found some problems with the throw measuring feature. I’m specifically talking about the standalone field work-oriented menu option, not the map scoring feature.
I hadn’t used this in a while, so I have some new discs that aren’t on there. After measuring my throw, I started creating a disc. Unfortunately, I then forgot to save the throw. I then managed to accidentally erase it later.
I understand this was my fault. But, it turns out, you can’t manually create throws later on. And, while testing something, I created a short “test” throw. Then I proceeded to discover this throw is now permanently in my account, I can’t delete it.
I would like to suggest a few enhancements to the throw feature, so I don’t have to leave to some other app to track my throws properly:
- The ability to manually create throws after the fact, either on a map or even just without any location data at all. This would also help people with rangefinders, for example.
- The ability to delete throws, so that they don’t affect the average. If this feature exists, I wasn’t able to find it where one would expect (in the same menu where you can edit the throw).
- The ability to edit the distance of existing throws (or the timestamp of a manually recorded throw, so it matches the actual throw made earlier)
I really believe that these changes would improve the usefulness of throw measurement, bringing UDisc closer to an all-in-one disc golf app. I hope they can fit onto your roadmap.
