I would like to request a registration activity log for tournament directors.
Currently, I can see who is registered for a tournament, but I cannot see the history of changes to the registration list. I would like a log showing all registration-related activity, including:
- Players registering
- Players unregistering
- Players changing divisions
- Players moving between the waitlist and registered players
- Other relevant registration changes
The most important feature for me would be seeing who has unregistered and when.
This is particularly important when handling refunds. When a player unregisters, they are removed from the current registration list. As a TD, I then have no way of knowing that the player has cancelled unless they contact me directly.
This means that I have to wait for the player to send me a message saying that they have unregistered and are requesting their refund. This is easy to miss and creates unnecessary manual communication for both the player and the TD.
An activity log would solve this by giving the TD a clear history of what has happened to the tournament registration.
Ideally, the log would be available only to the tournament staff and could be filtered by player, action, division, and date.
The unregistration history is especially important because it would allow TDs to identify everyone who has cancelled and process any applicable refunds without having to rely on players contacting the TD themselves.
This would provide a useful audit trail for tournament registration and make tournament administration considerably easier.
