New course stats

The latest version of course stats have changed the monthly totals LOWER for every month this year. How is that possible?

Also, the Unique Player numbers are a hot mess, showing me per day numbers.
PLEASE BRING BACK MONTHLY NUMBERS !!!

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for sharing some feedback. What course are you seeing this one? We definitely want to make sure the data is correct. For which stat are the montly totals now showing as lower than they were?

Could you give me a bit more information here? On the dashboard, none of the stats are daily. They are primarily broken down by 7 or 28 days. Where are you seeing per day numbers?

Select Course Statistics then the Play Counts graph and you’ll see two download choices, Download Data and/or Download Chart.

I’ve previously download the Play Counts and Unique Player numbers on a weekly basis and update a spreadsheet for the town council and public posting on local Facebook groups. Now when i download the data and Play counts are lower for every month this year. The Day-by-Day Unique Player counts are basically useless for me as its too fine of a breakdown.

I occasionally check previous months because those numbers change as some players forgot to finalize cards so their rounds don’t seem to get added to a month until that happens.

This is my spreadsheet. The second column (Total Play Count) was pulled from downloaded data PREVIOUS to the updated statistics page you’ve implemented.

Hey @captainanhyzer,

Thanks for giving us a bit more insight into what you’re seeing on your end. Our team recently released this update to the stats tab and it hasn’t been fully communicated, so apologies if anything felt confusing.

A few things to consider:

  • Our team changed how rounds are counted to include all non-deleted rounds and local players in round counts. This change was made to ensure accuracy in the counts that are displayed, but may cause counts to look a bit different than before!
  • Looking at the spreadsheet you shared with UDisc data, we noticed that you used the formula UDisc rounds x 4. This is not an accurate way to estimate the total number of rounds at any course and could cause some confusion. The best solution to having more accurate data at your course is ensuring people know to record a round on UDisc - which is sounds you are already doing quite well!
  • You can change the timeframe in the top right to expand beyond 4 weeks. If you tap the “expand” button you can download the specific data and graph that displays within this timeframe.

If you have any other questions about this, please let us know!

Thanks for the details, Jenn.

The x4 formula was just an estimate but as i ask more players if they’re using UDisc i feel that its closer to 50% for my particular park. Im sure the UDisc sign on tee 1 helps.
