It would be awesome if I could change the names of players that I see when scorekeeping. Or maybe display them additionally below their usernames/profile names.
I meet a lot of players at my local course that have some funny names in the profile but they want to be just called by their real name when scorekeeping. And it honestly uses too much of my brainpower translating the name I see to the name I should say aloud, on every hole when asking for score and when reading the tee order, when I meet someone new haha - and it’s more than 1 person at the same time.
Doesn’t sound like a particularly hard thing, maybe it’s a feature already somewhere?
It would be btw also cool if this was permanent so that later when I need to add that person again or I see them on my account in scorecards I know who that was
Thanks for this feedback, @nicofisi! For privacy reasons we can’t allow someone else to change another players’ name. If you are playing with someone, it would be best to ask them to update their nickname to something more clear so other players know who they are.
In my suggestion it would of course be only an update visible to myself An alias or what you want to call it. Discord has it as as “friend nickname” I believe. Or player note, or anything
