Hi,

I see I’m not the first to suggest bag tag stuff, and that some functionality exists in leagues. But i have a suggestion for wider functionality that would be really useful for clubs who have ongoing tags for all members.

What we need is some kind of bag tag ‘event’ which is independent of any leagues. I could be a member of multiple bag tag ‘events’, and if I’m ever on a card with someone who is ALSO a member of one of them (whether in a league or just as casual round) the app can ask ‘are tags in play?’ for the relevant tag event and then update the list after the round.

I hope that makes sense? It’s not complicated functionality - a ‘tag event’ is just a list of users and tag numbers, and the app just needs to check if two or more members of the card are in the same league. And presumably folk would be able to see a leaderboard of who had what tag in your club. I guess you’d also want there to be a ‘tags admin’ who created the tags event and is able to add new players/tags who join the club, or to reset tags etc.

Thoughts?

Basically - the other suggestions I’ve seen on the forum (apologies if i missed some) seem to be about leagues and league rounds. I’m thinking more about something where a player ‘owns’ a particular tag number, no matter what events they play in, until they happen to play against someone who is in the same club. Membership of a tag League would be a player attribute rather than only tied to a particular event.
