Pics of discs in bag show gray ring around them

Unless I’m missing something, how the app shows disc images in your bag is weird, and the color-picking option is awkward at best.

When you add or update a disc, you can add an image. Great. But the image doesn’t fill the circle. Why not? I still have to pick a color even if I’ve chosen my own picture of the disc?

And the color I pick shows as a ring around my custom picture. That makes no sense. If I add my own image, it should fill the circle so picking a color would be moot. But the best I can do in the app is to update the color to white, which leaves a gray ring around each disc image when I view all of my discs (in light mode, anyway).

Given that you have to pick a color as it stands now, in the color picking screen it’s almost impossible to pick the correct color from the color wheel — if you want to match the disc color in your own image. You should either be able to pick a color from your own image, or you should be able to enter an RGB or hex color value.

And another thing. The app also crops off the rim if it’s a different color than the main part of the disc. For example, I have a yellow Nomad with a black rim, and a peach Pixel with a yellow rim. I can’t get Udisc to not crop off the rim of those two discs when I add my own image for them. This app really needs to use the exact image I select instead of arbitrarily deciding what my image should be.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback here, Mike! When we’re working on future updates to the “Discs” section of the app, we will keep these suggestions for improvement in mind. We really appreciate you sharing your experience and perspective, and please don’t hesitate to let us know as any other questions or concerns come up!
