Recently whilst playing a Casual game with one of my cardmates & his son, well his son decided to only play 6 of 9 holes/baskets effectively DNF’ing the last three, how do i go about marking the DNF for the hole/basket on the app as in does he/she have there scorecard marked with Par + a Penalty?
Thanks for reaching out, Robert! When playing UDisc Leagues and Events, the event admin can mark players as DNF from the leaderboard tools, but for a casual round, there isn’t exactly a DNF functionality built-in to the app. You should just leave the player’s score blank for the last three holes in this case, but they wouldn’t receive any penalty for their DNF. Cheers!
Hi David
Maybe that is a feature that could be added to the app for casual rounds as well as for Leagues and Events, because if the DNF’d Baskets are left blank they are still there round.
Thanks Robert! I have seen this request come up a few times recently for casual rounds, and will make sure to count your vote. We appreciate your feedback, and will keep you in the loop on any major developments!
I am against a formal DNF if it affects the player’s score or round rating. I like the fact that we can partially complete a course (or a player bails after 5 or 6 holes) and still gets ‘credit’ for their performance on what they did complete. If the DNF messes with that, it would be a negative enhancement.
Thanks Randy! This is helpful feedback and it’s timely for some recent conversations amongst our team. We really appreciate your chiming in here!
