I find that having the map always display the current hole with the tee on the bottom and the basket at the top can make it diffcult to determine where you should be throwing if the basket is either not visible, or more than one basket could be the target. This usually isn’t the case if the course had definite tee pads, but in the case where they are simply marked locations in can be confusing. Whereas if you could lock the display so that north is always at the top, with a compass needle showing which direction you are facing it would be easier to determine the target.

If this gets implemented, please make it a toggle option. This would be significantly worse for me personally.
Oh yes, it should absolutely be an option, not a default. I wouldn’t want or need it on a course I had played, or one where there is good signage.
