How about the first time user basics? For the most part, it’s pretty intuitive. I played my very first round of disc golf in over three decades today and used UDISC. I figured out how scoring worked for the most part but when I started tracking shots by plotting on the map, i couldn’t figure out how to score the last shot. I ended up figuring out if I just clicked to add a shot (+ button next to score) it would ask where the shot ended up and I could select in the basket. Thought that was an odd way to do it but it makes more sense now. Is that even the correct way to end a hole?
Also, I played a very easy beginner level 9 hole course that was not as described on the UDISC map or the on course map. There were supposed to be two baskets on each hole but there was only one. Most of the time , the target I was supposed to be shooting for on UDISC wasn’t the one that was actually there. How can you update or change targets during a round?
Hey @italktoplanets, that’s a great idea, thanks. I will add it to the list of new videos we hope to get recorded. Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback here. I will link below a couple of helpful knowledge base articles for you as well!
Ah-hah! He is totally right, I too have failed to figure out how to track properly. The issue is that I don’t see how you indicate your starting point for a basket attempt, it seemed to me, as it did to the above fellow that when you are at the tee it seems like you are supposed to press record throw, because how else would it know that the throw you are about do is starting from a specific tee?
So if the right method is to first throw, then walk, then press the record throw button then how will that work? Is that where you are supposed hit measure and walk all the way back to your start point?
Hey Daniel, when you are in an active scorecard and tracking throws, it will automatically mark the tee pad as your starting point. From there, every throw you track will use the previous throw as the starting point. At the end of the hole, you can tap on the basket to mark your last throw’s landing spot and complete the hole. If you have other questions though, please reach out to us! We are always happy to help.
How can I change my avatar? Nothing on the “Profile” page where I’d expect it. Thanks!
Hi @jeffhemmerling, are you hoping to change your profile photo in the app? If so, head to your Profile tab and tap the pencil icon next to your profile picture. This will then prompt you to take a picture or select an existing photo from your phone’s library.
If this isn’t what you’re looking for, please let me know!
Hi All,
I’m a complete novice here and many times I click on a link (billing link works fine though) I receive the following message:
## The page you were looking for doesn’t exist.
You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.
back to home
Is there something I need to set to enable seeing the topics in the links?
Cheers Frank
Thanks for reaching out, Frank! Team UDisc has moved our support resources over to UDisc Support so you were looking at our old help pages, which are no longer active. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s a specific resource you’re still looking for, or as any other questions or concerns come up. Welcome to the sport!
Hi David,
Thank you for reaching out and also for the welcome.
Some of the links I’m referring to are in this thread topic we are posting in , I hadn’t found any reference to “support” in the menus so your link is very useful.
Is there a “sticky” about the new links? Ideally I don’t want to have to keep returning to your comment to get to the help pages if I log out/back in again or perhaps access the UDisc community on a different device etc.
I have introduced disc golf to several friends and we now have a small group meeting semi regularly for fun at our local course. Disc Golf is still surprisingly very low key here in Australia, but it is growing.
Hi David,
I notice on my home course in Belair, South Australia that many Tee positions (and some baskets) are several meters (some 10+) out according to my location in the app. Some may have been moved or perhaps there has been a GPS coordinate shift (I know one occured a couple of years ago to compensate for Australia’s “drift” but I dont think it was 10m or so) .
I used the AI assist/agent here but it couldn’t provide me contact details for the Course Ambassador to discuss updates but said I could contact Help however I cant find that.
Cheers Frank
Thank you Frank! The page to have “stickied” is help . udisc . com (you can remove the spaces to become a working link). Hopefully it’s pretty easy to remember! Per our privacy policies, we don’t provide contact information for course ambassadors; however, you can apply to become a course ambassador for your local course by filling out this form: Log in | UDisc
Cheers, I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
Hi David,
Thank you.
I managed to contact the course designer here in Adelaide via a local disc golf blog and he said the errors are because the locations were mapped from their course planning stage in 2023. He said he will fix up the inaccuracies in the coming weeks.
Thank you again.
You’re very welcome Frank, cheers and happy discing!
