I’m testing out the handicap system before we switch over to it for normal league. Last night I finished 3 of 3, but won because of handicaps. Yet our league scoring has me in 3rd on the night. Do we have to calculator our own standings to reflect the handicap, or is udisc suppposed to reflect our handicap scored.
Ive noticed this to, Im thinking the overall leader board hasn’t taken account for the Handicap system yet
Thanks for your thoughtful feedback James and Alex! Handicap-adjusted standings have been pretty popularly requested lately, and it’s something our team is in active discussions about supporting for a future update. Right now, standings are based on raw total strokes and leaderboard positioning only, not handicap-adjusted results. We will keep you in the loop on any major developments in this regard, and hope to have a new standings view out for you in the relatively near-term future!
@worm952 @jfan1933 Just wanted to follow-up here to let you know that handicap league standings are now supported in UDisc. Please don’t hesitate to ask as any other questions, concerns, or ideas for improvement come up. Cheers!
Thanks for the update @david How does the handicap work when we alternate courses? Will the first round on the new course use our previous handicap, or will we have to play one round to re-establish a handicap?
You’re very welcome James! The first round establishes an initial handicap, and the players’ handicaps will adapt to the course and layout. You won’t need to re-establish a new handicap when the league plays a different course or layout, but the players’ handicaps will reflect the layout difficulty and hole lengths, so for example you won’t have the same handicap on a short and technical layout as you would on a long and wide open track.
