Filter courses by par rating

I’d love to see a filter for Par Rating when browsing courses and layouts.

Today it’s possible to filter by things like course rating and hole count, but not by the expected scoring difficulty (Par Rating). As a result, it’s difficult to find courses that match a player’s current skill level.

For example, I would like to search for layouts with a Par Rating between 170–190, or 190–210, depending on who I’m playing with. This would make it much easier to discover enjoyable courses without having to open every layout individually.

Ideally this could:

  • Add a Par Rating range filter to Course Search.
  • Work on the layout level (since different layouts have different Par Ratings).
  • Show the layout’s Par Rating directly in the search results.

I think this would be especially useful when traveling or introducing newer players to the sport.

The closest thing we have today is the difficulty filter (Easy, Moderate, Challenging, Very Challenging) under Filters in Course Search. It works at the layout level, so multi-layout courses show different difficulties per layout, and the badge shows right in the search results.

A numeric Par Rating range filter would definitely be more precise than four buckets, especially for dialing in something like 170-190 vs 190-210. I don’t have any roadmap news to share, but I’ll pass this feedback along to the team.

In the meantime, filtering by Easy or Moderate difficulty should get you close to what you’re after, especially for introducing newer players.
