I played two rounds at my local on Monday, got a +8 both times, round rating of 148. Did the same thing today, got a +8, round rating has now dropped to 136 even though it’s the same score on the same layout of the same course. Anyone know why this might be?
Hi Logan, thanks for reaching out and yes, as a result of some very recent methodology improvements, this shift in round ratings is expected. The example you’ve described is in line with the shift we anticipate for rounds rated at this level. Rounds rated above 200 will also be rated a bit higher now, according to our new model. We just deployed this update yesterday and you’re the first disc golfer to mention it, good keeping an eye out!
