Can't change layout for event

This has happened a few times now and it’s super annoying.

We have a weekly dubs match at my local course and I’ve pre-loaded all them as events. Since we change the layout every week (a different number of holes in different configurations and in different orders) we can’t reuse the same layout.

I can’t always update the layout in the event manager.

The first time it happened, there was already someone checked in… which is an understandable validation, but I think is 100% unnecessary. So, I removed them them and still wasn’t able to update the layout. I had to clone the event and delete the old one… Lame.

More recenlty, I’ve gone in to update the layout before anyone has checked in and have run into the same issue.

Please fix this.

Thank you very much for reporting this, Rob! Our team is investigating the issue you’d reported about removing any checked-in players, which should be sufficient to re-enable changing the layout. Since you mentioned that more recently, you’ve been blocked from updating the layout even though nobody is checked in, was there any noticeable pattern or indicator of what had interfered with the layout change in that case? If it’s currently happening on an event then we would love to take a closer look at the event to see if we can identify the culprit. Thank you!

It’s happened a few times, and I think it’s always been a day-of issue. I have an event scheduled for next Wednesday – it’s fine now but I’ll check in on it as the date approaches and let you know if things change.
