Added Leaderboards and Data Views

Just a couple of ideas that could improve the data sharing that is already included in the app.

  1. A leaderboard for active (and historical) play streaks. I like the weekly play streaks, but could be nice to see how they stack up with others.

  2. Since you know where courses are located, and the weather associated at the time of playing, a graph view of how temperatures affect scores could be interesting. For instance, playing in hot summer vs cold winter, how does that affect your scores.

  3. To build off of #2, a stat showing the average temperature of the rounds played. Could show up on your profile where you have your round averages. The data is already there in the rounds, but there isn’t a method of having a summary for it.

Hey Cam, thanks for sharing your feedback here. I will be sure to share it with the team. We don’t have these things on the near-term roadmap, but they could be considered for a future update.

I would like to make a couple more recommendations with leaderboards:

1- It would be nice to toggle between years, not just 2025 and All-Time. I would love to quickly go back and see how well I placed in 2024 and years prior.

2- Leaderboards do not show the top 100 best players rounds for the 2025 and all time categories. I discussed this with a Udisc developer. I achieved a score that would have landed top 50 all time at a course nearby, but it didn’t show up on the leaderboard. Where the leaderboard can display up to 100 top rounds, I was confused when only 60 were showing. The developer explained that there were more than 100 other rounds apparently not showing, by people that were already on the leaderboard, so it bumped my round out. So while leaderboards only show someone’s best round, there are “hidden rounds,” from people on the leaderboard that still count. If we are going to show the top 100 players, not the 100 best rounds, which is what we used to do, then we need to remove the hidden logic where multiple rounds by the same people are calculated but not shown. Show 100 people that achieved an all time best round. More people will be satisfied when they see their name show up.

3 - It would be cool to have an option to see best round ratings ever on the leaderboard. Where tee and pin locations can change, a high score by one person may not be as impressive as another high score on a more difficult layout.

Thanks for your thoughtful suggestions, Jason! On the web-based course directory (Disc Golf Courses | UDisc) you can see a different filter option for “Year” instead of 2025, which includes the past twelve months of leaderboard entries on a rolling basis. So that’s a nice alternative option especially early in the calendar year.

As for the leaderboard cutting off entries before one hundred unique players, this is something we’ve heard a few times and also has to do with ties. If the leaderboard is only showing sixty players for example, then it’s likely because there are more than forty players whose best round would be tied for sixty-first.

Showing a leaderboard for best round ratings is a neat idea for courses with multiple tee pads and basket placements! We really appreciate you sharing this feedback!

I didn’t know that about the web based version and the year filters. Thank you.

Could you not show the ties that happen for the first people that achieved that score up to 100? The more you show the more people feel appreciated.

You’re very welcome Jason! And that’s a fair point about including ties up until one hundred; we’d need to make some changes to the leaderboards logic but I can definitely understand where you’re coming from here.

Thank you for your friendly and timely responses.
