We have league at a 9 hole course with 2 tee pads per hole. In UDisc we have 3 different “layouts” that is basically Front 9, Back 9, and Front + Back. We’ve always played league with the Front + Back for 18 holes, but the problem is that we like to play all 9 front, then all 9 back. This is fine if you start on hole 1, but we shotgun it so if you start on hole 3, your last hole of the Front would be hole 2 and then your first hole of the Back would be hole 12. This causes lots of confusion and the order gets mixed up. Someone before had said that we should run the league as a 2 round (Front then Back) event and check the option that cards remain the same. In theory, this should fix the problems. I tried to set it up last week but I never completely figured it out. Thanks for your help!
Thanks for your thoughtful message, Tim! I do think that handling this as a two-round event and keeping cards the same between rounds is probably the best way to go since you essentially play the front 9 as one round, and the back 9 as another round. If you have some cards starting on the back 9 however, then you might need to use pools to configure some cards to start on the front and others on the back.
Did you get stuck on any particular step when trying to set this up last week? I’d be happy to help with troubleshooting and any best practices recommendations.
