Measure throw disc list and sorting

Issues:

  1. When measuring a throw, you are always presented with your entire list of discs, in no logical order. I spend more time scrolling through my disc list than i do throwing because of the difficulty here.
  2. I also have an issue with scrolling within the disc selection menu. Its not smooth and stops halfways with no ability to get to the bottom of the list at times. Also, when pulling downward to scroll up in the disc selection menu, the menu will sometimes close as if I pulled down from the top, which then resets my throw distance. There is a pull down bar at the top of the menu indicating this might be intended functionality but I’m pulling down in the middle of the disc list, trying to scroll.

Suggestions:

  1. Sort the thrown disc list in ANY LOGICAL ORDER. Just make it default to alphabetical or speed or something instead of a jumbled mess that is impossible to interact with. Even without options, this would make the throw feature massively improved.
  2. Another option: the thrown disc list inherits the same sort as whatever the user’s “my discs” sort or even the throws sort.
  3. Another idea would be to only show discs set in your bag or sort the bagged discs toward the top of the throw list.

Thanks very much for these thoughtful suggestions, Justin! Our team will keep your feedback in mind when we begin work on improving the Discs and Throws sections of the app. We really appreciate your willingness to share your experience and write up these ideas! We aren’t actively working on this right now, but we will keep you in the loop on any major developments in this regard.

I agree with this wholeheartedly! There’s absolutely no rhyme or reason to the list. Could sort by any number of parameters including discs that are currently in my bag.

Also, where did the list of throws go? Was it deleted? If so, why?

This was one of my favorite features of UDisc.

That one was a huge head scratcher for me as well with the latest update. Certain features were removed or hidden in an unintuitive way. Why make a simple improvement when you can change things no one asked for?

You can find previous throws by clicking on you > scroll down to throws measured and click there to view all throws.
