We would like to propose a feature enhancement to UDisc Events that allows organizers to restrict player division eligibility based on their UDisc Everyday Rating and UDisc Competition Rating. This would help ensure fair competition and better alignment between player skill levels and division categories.

UDisc Everyday Rating
UDisc Competition Rating
Functionality:
When a player registers for an event, their current ratings are checked.
Only divisions for which the player qualifies (based on predefined rating thresholds) are shown.
Optionally, allow organizers to override or manually approve exceptions.
Use Case
This feature is particularly useful for:
Preventing sandbagging (players competing below their skill level).
Encouraging fair play and balanced competition.
Streamlining registration by guiding players to appropriate divisions.
Additional Suggestions
Display rating history or trends during registration.
Allow filtering or sorting of players by rating in event dashboards.
Include rating-based recommendations for divisions during sign-up.
As a tournament director running events through UDisc, I really need the ability to set division restrictions based on a player’s UDisc Competition Rating.
Right now, when running rating-based divisions, I basically have two options:
Trust that players register for the correct division and don’t intentionally or unintentionally play below their appropriate rating level.
Manually verify eligibility by asking players to show me their Competition Rating on their phone.
Neither is a good solution.
This is already creating a lot of unnecessary fuss in our tournament community. Players should know which divisions they are eligible for when registering, and tournament directors shouldn’t have to manually verify ratings at the event.
What I really need from UDisc Events is:
The ability to set a minimum and/or maximum Competition Rating for each division and have UDisc enforce that restriction during registration.
The ability for tournament directors to see each registered player’s current Competition Rating directly in the player/registration list.
The second part is important even if restrictions are implemented. Ratings can change between registration and the tournament, so TDs need to be able to see the live/current rating of registered players and move them to the correct division when necessary.
Without these features, organizing tournaments with rating-based divisions becomes unnecessarily difficult. For us, this isn’t just a nice-to-have feature anymore. It’s becoming essential.
I really want to use UDisc Events as our tournament platform, but if UDisc cannot properly support rating-based divisions, that is a legitimate reason for tournament organizers to start looking at other tournament solutions.
Please prioritize Competition Rating-based division restrictions and rating visibility for tournament directors.
