Creating a 1 round flex event

I am creating a league that allows teams to play just once a month.

But I cannot create an event longer than 14 days… Any help?

Option I have is create 2 events… one for the first 2 weeks and the other for the next 2 weeks of a month…

Thanks for reaching out, Sam! These kinds of monthlong flex events are not currently supported, but your idea of creating two separate two-week flex events would work.

Is there any particular reason why you might prefer to create a longer event?

This is a couples doubles league… Most of our players are married with kids so they can only play one time a month. Wanted a better way to track and post rules as we have different rules for each month…

If I create it can a dev just update the table and manually change the data to match the dates haha

I know how that goes! Sounds like a fun league format. For now, the best option is to just create events no longer than 14 days in length. We do appreciate your feedback, and we will keep you in the loop if this restriction is changed in the future!

Davey Gravy,
I’m new to setting up events as well so asking for future reference. Does the limitation on length of event include leagues that happen every week on specific days? Will I need to make a new event for each week?

What our leagues do is each week create an event that says “League Week 1” and then set it to the day of the league…

So essentially have to enter a new event for each week. No way to enter it as a repeating event that happens at the same time and day every week for an extended period of time?

I dont remember seeing a setting to do that… but let me check to make sure im correct in saying yes, it has to be created for each

You could easily create a weekly event that starts on the same day of the week every week. UDisc Leagues includes some single-round event templates that support recurrences for this kind of league, which makes scheduling out the season super simple. So yes, you’d need to make a new event for each week in this example; however, you could just create all of the events at once with the recurring event tool. I hope this helps!
