Any Possibility of Developing a Module (or Modal) That Assigns Handicap League Players into Foursome/Threesome Groups?

Our league switched to UDisc’s handicap league app to manage scoring. We’ve been very pleased with the result. A feature that would really help us out would be an “app” that assigns the players foursomes/threesomes after they’re checked in.

We have a little web-based app that we use to do this, but it’s cumbersome to check players in using two separate screens. The algorithm for creating the foursomes and threesomes isn’t too complicated. We have two variations: one that assigns players to groups based on handicap, and the other that assigns them to groups randomly.

It sure beats the heck out of flipping discs or standing in a circle counting off numbers.

ADDENDUM

Perhaps my explanation was vague. Right now, the league manager must manually assign players to Cards after using our web-based app to generate the foursomes. What would be handy is for the UDisc Leagues’ system to have a button that would automatically assign players to Cards based on their handicap, and (possibly) another button that automatically assigns players to Cards randomly. This would be a big time-saver (at least it would be for our league).

Hey @markdrone, thanks for sharing this! We haven’t quite developed handicaps for teams. This isn’t something we currently have planned, but appreciate hearing what’s important to you.

It does have one of those feature. It can generate cards for you. They won’t be based off handicap but you can set rules etc. if you have multiple divisions you can mix divisions and keep them separate. Change how many people you want on cards and starting holes to use etc.
