Hi,

I’ve been using udisc a lot in the past years, as I run a league and play quite a bit of disc golf. I’ve been liking the new features so far but I think there’s a big one that could be a low hanging fruit.

You see, we often play with our wives or with players that are not as seasoned as we are, so in order to have fun and stay as a group, they will often play on a different layout (short) while we play on longs, but we’ll keep their score on udisc as the same foursome.

Unfortunately, this skews both the udisc course ranking as well as course leaderboard as they will very often score way higher than their rating. It’s also sad for them, as when they get more into the game, they often end up having a lot of “rounds” in their history that incorrectly shows their progress trough time.
Of course, they “should” have their own udisc app installed, but for new comers or people who happens to wear pocketless leggings, it’s always welcome to have someone else take the score.

So tl;dr I would really like to be able to create a scorecard and select a different layout for one or more players on my scorecard.

Hi Gabriel, Thank you for sure a thorough suggestion! Keeping score for two different layouts within the same scorecard is not something that we have on our current roadmap, but it could be an option in the future. Appreciate your feedback and love that you share disc golf with your wife! Best, Becky Kate
(P.S. Pocket-less leggings are the WORST, amiright?!)

Just wanted to throw my support in here. One of the fundamental things that is so good about disc golf is that different tees allow players of widely varying abilities to play together.

I’ve always been sort of shocked that udisc has never supported this and I’m stunned that it’s never even been considered. This is a fundamental feature on every other golf scoring app I’ve ever seen, even Easy Scorecard Pro that I used for disc golf before UDisc.

This would bring great joy into my disc golf life. 🙂

Thanks for adding your perspective in here! This is something our team has considered but is not on our near term roadmap as Becky Kate mentioned 🙂

Adding my support for this as well (fur future consideration).
I play with my kids often and we play some courses where there are different pars for each difficulty - or (like the OP) they play shorts.

I haven’t seen this on U-Disc yet, but if is… The kids play from short T’s, the guys playing from Long T’s and the ladies play from mid T’s but we are all walking around as one group. Or you are out playing with your kids, and you are throwing from the long T’s and the kids from the short T’s and you wanting to stay on the same card as group. Or maybe you are out playing with a group of guys girls…
